Youth Emergency Services (YES) Site

There are two different YES garden sites.
The first site is at a local YES maternity home. Young moms and their children help tend to the garden, learn about nutritious food for themselves and their families, and interact among each other. Individual volunteers will spend time at the maternity home this summer helping to teach nutrition and cooking classes. Produce is used on-site.
The second site is at the YES youth shelter. It is a small garden that will be tended and used by those staying at the shelter. Summer 2011 will be its first growing season. Location:2679 Farnam Street, Ste 205 Contact:Sarah Kent |
